House Rules

Holiday apartment with dogs allowed inside sunshine coast, perth, newcastle and bundaberg

Each Puppies and Pancakes has a full set of individual house rules. We ask when booking any of the Puppies and Pancakes properties you read the listing on the booking platform in full. Each is unique yet special in its own way.

These are standard house rules that apply to all Puppies and Pancakes homes. We try to not have too many rules; we just ask that you respect our beautiful homes.

These conditions are an agreement between parties, namely the Owner of the property and the Guests at the property, including their visitors/guests. Any infringement/ breach of any rules/ conditions stated below permits the Owner to refuse a key, refuse guest access, amend the stay and/or immediately terminate the stay without refund.

Keep noise to a minimum

They are in quiet communities, so we ask that you also respect our neighbours when it comes to noise. We have strict no party and low noise policies. No parties or loud functions. No noise after 9pm.

Non-smoking properties

We have a very strict No Smoking Policy anywhere on any of the Puppies and Pancakes properties: You must go to the street if you wish to smoke. We prefer to take bookings from non-smokers. Additional fees will be charged to guests in any evidence of smoking found, detected or detected by our cleaners. Smoking will not be tolerated anywhere on the property. A $500 smoke cleaning fee will apply.

Dogs in and around the house

We allow your dogs inside as we believe they are family members. We prefer dogs didn’t go on the furniture, however, we do understand that some dogs are very used to lying on the couch. If they are accustomed to the finer things in life, we ask that you use the dog blankets and towels provided to protect the furniture. This helps preserve our furniture and keeps it clean for future guests. It is appreciated if guests’ dogs go on lounges that you bring your own throws as this helps us keep costs down with not having to pay excess laundry fees.

Dogs are strictly not permitted on the beds. If dog hair or evidence of dogs sleeping on beds is found them extra cleaning fees will be charged.

If Dogs MUST sleep with you. You must tell us in advance, and you need to bring and provide your own linen. Again, this is a courtesy to our cleaners that must wash the linen and the comfort of future guests.

Please keep the yard clean and pick up after your dog daily, we would prefer after they toilet or at least twice daily. Please supply your own bags where possible, although if you run out, there are extra bags in the dog cupboard along with extra food bowls and leads if required.

If your dog suffers anxiety when travelling, when you leave it alone or it normally tends to bark, we ask that out of courtesy to our neighbours you keep your dog with you at all times and take it with you when you go out. Barking and upsetting our neighbours is not acceptable. If dogs are left in the yard to continually bark and we are alerted by our neighbours, this is against our house rules. Dogs are never to be left alone locked inside as the sound becomes so much louder if locked in because of the echo. If dogs are found to be disturbing neighbours (they are very quick to call us) and if guests do not or unable to return immediately to their barking dog then we may be forced to send someone over to sit with your dog. If this happens then a dog sitting fee of $20 per hour, or part thereof, will be charged to the guests.

Checking out

Our regular check-out time is 10am. We do not require you to strip the beds (unless you have provided your own linen), you can leave them as they are, however placing the used towels in the laundry tub is appreciated. We do not expect our guests to mop, however if you are travelling with a dog that is excessively hairy, that sheds a lot, we appreciate on check out that you vacuum or sweep up as much excess hair as possible.

We also do ask that you do a general tidy and wipe down the kitchen benchtops. Do your dishes or put the dishwasher on if the property has one and take the rubbish out.

Please double-check the yard for “puppy poos”, there are generally pick up bags in the dog cupboard if you have none of your own. We understand and appreciate that Guests do pay a cleaning fee; this covers the cost of our professional cleaner to wash all linen, restock essentials, so the property is stocked up and as immaculate, sanitised and sparkling as it was when you entered. We trust that you will leave the property clean and tidy as you found it. Excessive cleans will be charged from your security deposit. If you need us for information, we are only a phone call away.

Please remember these are our homes and we truly value our guests that respect them. NB: A breach of ANY House Rules will result in cancellation of booking, guests being required to leave, and strictly NO Refund will be given.
